Circular business concepts
Activating circular business concepts
The circular economy provides many business opportunities. The future will be challenging in terms of more expensive commodities, resource scarcity, more environmental problems, climate change mitigation and adaptation and tougher legislation. This provides compelling reasons for companies to start using circular business models.
Circulab – a tool for activating circular business concepts
Pure are certified Circulab-instructors. The Circulab is an approach developed in order to help organizations seize the economic, social and environmental opportunities of the circular economy. Our experience is that companies have little knowledge about what circular economy means for their company. We provide answers to many of the questions businesses ask through training, in-house workshops, and in presentations we hold at events and conferences. Circular economy is still in its infancy and there are few companies that have tested circular business concepts. One reason for this is that it usually challenges their current business model and adopting the principles of circular economy often require a different mindset.
RESEARCH AND STAKEHOLDER DIALOUGE
Mapping opportunities and risks, and facilitating dialog of stakeholders
It is important to develop indepth awareness about where you are today in order to develop future strategies. This will help you to identify relevant opportunities and to prioritise the right actions. Pure is skilled at identifying risks and opportunities, as well as evaluating the company´s current potential to leverage sustainability as competitive advantage.
We have good experience in leading stakeholder dialogue processes. A good stakeholder dialogue process is important to assess the company´s impact on and responsibilities towards different interest groups, to adjust to changes in society, and to build trust between stakeholders and the company. A stakeholder dialogue process starts with mapping the most important stakeholders that are influenced by or have influence upon the company’s business activities. The main focus is to create forums for entering into open and constructive dialogue with key stakeholders in order to understand the business impact better, and to identify opportunities to reduce negative impact and increase positive impact. We have great experience with using innovative tools to include stakeholders’ views in knowledge-based decisions.
We have long experience with facilitating internal and external workshops and conferences. Big or small, national or international, short or long.

SHARED VALUE PARTNERSHIPS
Development and implementation of shared value partnership
The shared value initiative was established in 2011 to promote the work of Michel Porter and Mark Kramer from Harvard Business school, in the field of Creating Shared Value (CSV).
The strategies within CSV identify how a company can create economic value while simultaneously adding value to society by addressing social needs and challenges. Corporate social responsibility is thus incorporated into the core business model. As an affiliate of the Shared Value Initiative, we are always up to speed on the latest developments in the field, and are always happy to use this knowledge to inspire you in your work towards adopting a circular business model.

building competence and spotting trends
Setting a strategy to life requires good communication, and a clear implementation plan. To be successful, it is necessary to put words into actions.
We have a focus on disseminating substantially illustrative and significant stories, not merely facts and figures. We will search for the illustrative examples that will visualize how your company has contributed to sustainable development within ethics, the environment, with people or simply within society.
We will be able to communicate in engaging ways – through using examples that make stories come alive – content in the CS report. What we develop can be used through your own channels of communication – internally and externally. We have a repository of telling examples of storytelling created by reputable organisations.
”Combining the head and the heart is the most powerful style of storytelling” – Todd Reubold, Ensia
ETHICS AND RESPONSIBLE SOURCING
Inspiring and engaging arenas
Ethics in your company and risk management in the supply chain. How is the foundation of your company? Is everybody in the company equipped with the information and tools they need to make good decisions? Values and ethical guidelines influence everything we do, and thus determine the company culture and whether we reach our goals or not. Pure assists several organisations with the development of ethical guidelines and bringing them to life.
Supply chain sustainability and ethics is becoming more and more important. Customer, employees and legal regulations are. Ethics in the supply chain is demanded from stakeholders- both from customers, employees and now with tightening in the Public Procurement Act. Pure assists customers with risk assessments of their own supply chain, with supplier tracking strategies and with operational assistance for improvement among suppliers.
